Your very first turn
What the opening scene is asking for, and how your first few words steer everything that comes after.
Voyage opens on a blank prompt and a short scene. It looks like it wants a novel. It does not. It wants one clear thing your character does next, in your own words.
Do not overthink the opening. A single, concrete action, said plainly, hands the narrator everything it needs to build the scene around you and get the story moving. The details are its job; the direction is yours to set.
Say what you do, not what happens
Write your action, and let the narrator write the outcome. "I search the desk for a key" gives it something to run with. "I find a key" takes its job, and usually gets ignored.
Set the tone early
Your first few turns teach the narrator how your story should feel. Play them the way you want the whole adventure to go, and it will follow your lead.
